Go Cyclones

This year the Cyclones Men's Basketball team had a great year - at least that's what Dad tells me. Apparently they don't always do that well. This year it was fun. We all got into cheering them on and I even learned how to get mad while watching a game. I did have the best teacher. :)

Mom, Dad and I were watching the game that put them into the Sweet 16 and it was an intense game. Dad got angry a couple times and there may have been a couple couch pillows thrown and my Pottery Barn chair kicked. I pick up on things quickly and in no time I was picking up my toys, throwing them down to the floor and yelling, "NO!"  Dad said it wasn't his proudest moment but Mom sure thought it was funny anyway.

On game day Mom started the tradition of Cohen and I having red and yellow M&Ms with our popcorn for Cyclone colors - just something to make it fun for us. Cohen had to keep wearing his #32 basketball jersey because when he would wear it they would win. I guess all luck eventually runs out. My outfits changed but every game day I was sporting some Cyclone gear.

It was a fun season for our family.

"See a mess?"

It's no secret I make messes. It seems I somewhat enjoy making a mess. Usually after I've emptied a cupboard,  a drawer,  shelf or container I ask, "Mom. See a mess?" Mom is trying to show me it's just as much fun to pick the mess up as make it. Sometimes I buy into it but not always.

Here's a sample of my common messes...and by common I mean almost daily.

Ready for Easter

Cohen and I are ready for Easter. Mom got out our bunny ears and we're set!

Lovin' the Sunshine

Saturday was such a nice, warm, sunny day I got to spend a lot of time "side" (outside). I watched Cohen and his friends play while I played in the rocks. I had fun collecting them and putting them into different containers, then emptying them and starting over. That kept me busy for quite awhile.

I took a break to hang out with Daddy for awhile. It was a gorgeous 81 degree day and we soaked up as much of it as we could!

18 Months Old

That means I am now officially 1 1/2! Wow!  Mom and Dad always say I'm such a funny, silly little girl who loves to make people laugh. I like to have fun, play, dance, do the things my big brother does and after all that I love to snuggle up - especially on Daddy's shoulder. I fit perfectly there.

I'll start with my list of new words. Mom has been keeping this list for awhile but these are new words since my last list I posted:
Borple (Purple), nack (snack), okay, yup, nope, Pludlo (Pluto), Daydees (Daisey), Lonlold (Donald), Oar (Thor), moe (more), way ah you (Where are you), Der is (there it is!), daaa (Done), ullo (Hello), yeah, mous (mouth) tees (teeth), brush, oil, royal, (She sings it from the song Royals), geen (green), bwu (blue), ook (book), cookie, nigh-nigh, Gaboppa (Grandpa), Gamama (Grandma), Nanny (Granny), ow, down, wahlow (water), bar (granola bar), Inee (Iron Man), appee (Captain 'America'), toes, ippo (hippo) ino (rhino), uck (duck), ack (yuck), mom, nee (need), bottow (bottle), bruss (brush), pree (pretty), bidee (birdie), "Seearella" (Cinderella), Wats (watch tv), unch (lunch), happy, side (outside)

I am a talker. I identify everything I know when I see it and I will repeat it until someone confirms what I'm saying. If they guess the wrong thing I'll say, "No". But I can talk pretty clearly that most people can tell what I'm saying but especially Mom and Dad. I jabber a lot, I like to talk on the real phone and pretend to talk to people on my toy phone. I have A LOT to say! I'll say, "Mom. See a puppy?" or "Dad. See a birbie?" It's always Mom or Dad and then "See a......" whatever I'm seeing at the moment. I like confirmation. :)

I am a good sleeper still. I go to bed around 7:30 and wake up between 7:00 - 7:30 in the morning. I am only taking one nap a day. It's usually around 11:00 and I wake between 1:00 - 2:00.

I love books. I enjoy to be read to and I like to pretend I'm reading them myself. I will sit and flip through books, saying things I see on the pages and repeating things I have memorized that Mom and Dad say and do when they read to me. Some of my favorite books are Wizard of OZ Colors, That's Not My Puppy, Mirror Me and Baby Bathes.

I REALLY LOVE music!!  Love it. I dance, dance, dance to almost anything. Sometimes we all dance but Daddy and I dance together a lot.

Mom and Dad always say I'm a good eater. When I get up in the morning I ask for a "nana" and "bfst". I usually have cereal or peanut butter toast and a banana and milk.

I'm recently started asking for "unch" when I wake up from my nap. And by dinner time my food better be ready when I'm ready to eat or it gets ugly. I'm hard to reason with and usually end up crying and crying.

I'll eat just about anything. There are a few things I have snubbed but I can't think of any right now. Most anything you put in front of me, I'll eat.

I am starting to play with chunky puzzles - where you match up the piece with the picture on the puzzle. I also am starting to be interested in my shape sorter. I don't have it mastered yet but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I am starting to learn some of my letters. I know a few of them like "A, B, C, F, H, K, O, M, X, Y. And I'm starting to learn to count. I can count to five - sometimes I need a little reminder but I have done it on my own. I'll keep practicing and will have it down in no time.

I still like to watch "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse". I request "Ninnie" quite often. I don't always get to watch it but I love when I do. I'm also starting to get interested in "Bubble Guppies" and "Word World".

I am pretty knowledgeable about super heroes, thanks to Cohen. I know all about Iron Man, Spidey, Hulk, Captain America and Thor. One funny thing I started doing is taking a couch pillow, throwing on the floor and saying "Smash" or "Hulk Smash". Mom and Dad think it's pretty funny 1. because it's just funny, but 2. because I'm so tiny and pretending to be the Hulk.

I like to get into Cohen's Legos only because I'm really not supposed to. If he's playing with them and I see he left his door open I make a mad dash down the hall to his room. Sometimes he will give me a couple blocks or a mini figure to hold. He's very good to me - most of the time.

I like to play with my Little People princess castle, ferris wheel and house,  my babies - I like to wrap them up, hold them and give them their bottle. I also like to push them around in my baby doll stroller. I am a busy girl. But one of my favorite things is to have a bunch of small things I can carry around, move from one container to another and just rearrange, carry around, etc. Cohen has some big plastic beads that are different shapes and colors. They can keep me busy for the longest time - just transferring them from one container to another.

It will fun to see what all I accomplish between now and the time I turn two! It should be a fun summer. And my goal is to do better keeping up with this. I promise I'll try!!

Dancing Girl

I love to dance. I'll dance to just about any song I hear but my most favorite song to dance to right now is "Happy". As soon as I heart it I start bouncing and swinging my little hips. I love to clap my hands and just dance. I said, "dance. dance......dance. Mom, see dance?"

"Side"

"Side. Side? SIDE!" Means I want to go outside. I LOVE being outside. I enjoy just walking up and down the sidewalk, swinging in the back yard in my swing, riding up and down the sidewalk in my Minnie Mouse car....anything outside it good by me!

Mom and Dad just found me a used sand table that I will be able to play in as soon as they get it cleaned up for me. I can't wait. We were at a friends house and they had one and I really enjoyed playing in it.

I'll be sure to post some pictures of me playing in it when it's ready for me.

Silly Girl

I love to dress up, be silly and make people laugh. The more they laugh the sillier I get.

Birbies

I love watching out the window looking for "birbies" (birdies). I usually watch for them out the living room windows into the back yard or out the deck door onto the deck.

One day Marlie and I paired up on the chair in my bedroom to watch out my bedroom window for birbies and cars. We didn't see many birbies but we looked cute watching for them.

St. Patrick's Day Weekend

For St. Patrick's Day weekend we went to Harpers. Grandpa and Grandma C. had a St. Patrick's Day party. I guess they do that a lot of years for St. Patrick's Day but this was my first one because they didn't do it last year. I dressed up in my green and shamrock headband for the special occasion. Cohen and I were only at the party for a short time before we went back to Granny's house to go to bed. We stayed with her while Mom and Dad went back to the party.

On Sunday Marlie and I stayed with Granny and Mom, Dad and Cohen headed to Minneapolis to celebrate Cohen's birthday a little early. He chose to go to the Lego Store at the Mall of America instead of having a big friend party. It worked out best for them to go then since it was Cohen's Spring Break from school and it worked for me to stay behind. First I stayed with Granny then Grandpa and Grandma C. picked me up and I spent two nights at their house before Mom, Dad and Cohen came back and picked me up.

Mom and Dad weren't sure how it would go with me being away from them because I'm a little sensitive, don't always do well with them leaving and have not been left very often. But it went very well. I am very comfortable with Grandpa and Grandma and at their house. I did just fine with them. Mom and Dad were very happy that I did so well and they had a lot of fun being able to spend some time with just Cohen. We all had a great couple days.

A Day of Pictures

Mom pulled the camera out one day - March 12 and snapped a few pictures of me.  Here are some of them.

Playing with my toes.

Snuggling on the couch with Dad and Cohen.

Kisses for Marlie.

Putting a "pretty" on Marlie's ear.

George Came to Visit

In Cohen's Kindergarten class they each take a turn bringing Curious George home during their special week at school.

The week of March 10 was the week Cohen brought him home. He actually brought him home the Friday before, we had him through the weekend and then that whole week.  Here are a few pictures from our week with him. I spent time with George while Cohen was at school. We all had a lot of fun with him.

Great Grandpa's 90th Birthday

March 12 our great grandpa (Mom's grandpa) turned 90. The weekend before that great grandma hosted a party for him at their farm house. It was my great aunts and uncles, grandpa and grandma, Mom, Dad, Cohen and I and a bunch of Mom's cousins and their kids. It was a fun time. I can't decide if my favorite part was the cake Grandpa C. shared with me or the new baby, Landon that was there. It all was pretty great.

Me and My Buddy

My neighbor buddy came over to hang out with us. I was napping when he got here. When I woke up Mom brought me out to the living room. When I saw him I just kept smiling, pointing and saying, "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Needless to say I was excited to have a little buddy over to play with.

Who is Read for Spring?

This girl! Bring on the sunshine!!

xBox With the Boys

I know Cohen loves to play his xBox game. He will sit down there for a long time and play. One day Dad took me down with him. He and Cohen were playing the game and I wanted to give it a try too so dad took the batteries out of one of the controllers and let me "play". I thought I was pretty big stuff.

Cute Hair

March 3, 2014: I still don't have much hair but Mom decided to try and do a little something with my hair. This was the best we could do with that I have. :)

Mickey, Minnie and Me

Who better to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with than Mickey and Minnie (and Daddy)?

Snuggle Buddies

Gosh, Mom and I are REALLY slacking on my blog. We are going to try to do better at update once a week. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Well, I'll go back to February since that's the last time I updated. Mom was putting me to bed for a nap and I asked one by one for my Disney toys, "Ninnie, Daydeez, Pludlo, Nonold, Ninne, Nonold, and Goof." (Yes I call Mickey and Minnie both "Ninnie")

There wasn't much room left in there for me.
