My Baptism

Last night was my baptism. Mom and Dad had it at St. Ann's St. Joseph's in Harpers Ferry. Fr. Moser baptized me and my Great Uncle and Aunt, Dewey and Danette are now my Godparents.

Mom and Dad had a little celebration for me afterward in the church hall. They served lasagna, Cesar salad, garlic bread and cake.

Everyone thought I was such a good girl and told me I looked so beautiful. :)

Friday Night Fun

Friday night we went to Daddy's cousin's house to meet their new baby, Ryland. We all had a fun spending time with them. Mom and Dad thought I'd look so big next to him but they were surprised I really didn't. We actually are very close in length - despite being about 3 months apart.

Three Months Old Today

Today I am three months old. Mom can't believe three months has gone by already and when she and Daddy were talking about it last night he thought it was "crazy" too.

Let's see....what have I been up to in the last month? Well....I told you I started rolling. I'm doing that all the time now. So far just from my belly to my back. I haven't figured out how to to go the other way yet.

I'm sleeping like a champ! My bedtime now is usually around 9:00 - 9:15 p.m. Sometimes I wake around 6:00 because I'm hungry. If I do I get a dry diaper, eat and go right back to sleep....usually takes about 20 minutes. But some nights I sleep right on through until 8:30-9:00 a.m. Mom and Dad said they don't know how they got so lucky to have two babies that are such good sleepers but they did. I guess Cohen was a good sleeper too when he was a baby.

I nap about every hour. Usually just for 30-40 minutes except in the afternoon I still take my big long one that's usually about 2 1/2 -3 hours.

I'm eating a little more now. Mom switched me to the #2 nipple for my bottle so it comes out a little faster and I am tending to finish more of my bottle now. I am eating about 4 ounces every 2-3 hours. I just eat until I'm done or I let Mom and Dad know I'm done by spitting out the nipple. Once I'm done they sit me up and I usually burp right away. Then I'm good for awhile.

I enjoy sitting in my bouncy seat and laying under my play mat. I am in the swing less and less now that I'm moving more. I still like it but I'm enjoying some of my other toys more now.

This past week I learned how to control my voice so I'm making more and more noises and coos. I love to talk and I will have a 'conversation' if anyone talks to me.

Cohen is starting to play with me and talk to me more and more. I think he likes it that I'm starting to do more, like smile and make noises. Sometimes he really gets laughing at me. I LOVE to watch him play. I could sit and just watch him play with his cars or do whatever for the longest time. I love my big brother.

I also have started watching our dog, Marlie too. She kind of fascinates me.

That's about all I'm up to right now. It's been a great three months. I think I've learned a lot already. I wonder what I'll learn in the next month. We shall see I guess!

Bumbo

Since I'm doing so well at holding my head up Mom and Dad decided I could give the Bumbo seat a try. At first I wasn't too sure because I can't kick my legs very well in it but today I kind of liked sitting in there for a little while. It made me feel like a big girl!

"Rollin' in the New Year

Of course since I'm just 2 1/2 months old this is my first New Year. I wanted to make it memorable. New Years Eve morning I woke Mom and Dad up by crying around 6:50 a.m. This is earlier than I normally wake up but Mom knew I went to bed a little earlier the night before so she said she didn't think much of it. She told Dad she peeked at me on the monitor and all she could see was my one arm moving all over. Since I'm a belly sleeper she thought that would't be right - she suspected it and sure enough...I had rolled over from my belly to my back all on my own. I started out in the middle of my crib on my belly and when she went in there I was in the upper right corner on my back. I haven't rolled over again since but now they know I'm capable. :)

New Years afternoon we cheered on the Cyclones in their bowl game.

That evening we were having a neighbor dinner with our two next door neighbors to celebrate New Years Eve. I got to participate in the appetizers at our house. Mom had gotten me a cute little onsie to wear and Christine got me my very own New Years hat - it was just my size!
After the appetizers I stayed at our house with Grandma Dahsltrom while everyone else went to Reznicows for dinner. I had a good time with Grandma.

The rest of the group hung out until about 1:30 a.m. That was much too late for a little lady like me. I partied until about 10:00-10:30 pm and woke up 12 hours later.

Next year I can join the party! Happy New Year!

My First Christmas

I celebrated my first Christmas and I got spoiled! We were going to start celebrating on the 23rd with Daddy's side of the family but Cohen got sick so we had to postpone that until he was feeling better. Christmas Eve was the first day Cohen and I could be around each other so I wouldn't catch croup from him. Mom was happy because she had been looking forward to us all spending Christmas Eve together as a family. We spent the day watching Christmas movies, Mom and Cohen baked cookies and made a ginger bread house. I spent the day watching them and hanging out with Daddy.

Christmas morning when we woke up Santa had come. I slept in later than everyone else so Cohen had opened his presents by the time I got up. But it was nice then he could play with his new toys and Mom and Dad helped me open my presents while he played.

Cohen got me a stuffed taggie dog. Mom and Dad got me a stuffed monkey, some crib shoes and a Minnie Mouse autograph book for Disneyland. Santa brought me some sippy cups, bibs and containers for when Mommy makes me homemade baby food. He left me pacifiers and warm fuzzy socks in my stocking.

Later in the afternoon we went to Great Grandpa and Grandma Cota's house. It was the first time I met my great grandpa Cota. It was nice to meet him - though he wasn't feeling well that day. I also got snuggled by my great-aunt Brigid. (picture) and my great-aunt Kathy.

I got some nice gifts there from my great aunts and uncles. From there we went to see Uncle Dolly and Grandpa Dahlstrom's cabin they just bought. Mom and Dad thought it was very nice. After that we went back to Granny's house and opened gifts with her. She got me a little dolly, some fuzzy booties and some clothes.

After that we went to open gifts with Grandpa Cota. Grandma was gone but we got to spend time with Grandpa. I got a doll, little moses basket and bed set for the doll and some clothes.

The next day we went to visit my Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Jones. Then I got to go meet my Great Grandma Dahlstrom. It was fun to meet her. After that we went to visit Dewey, Danette, Cam, Bailey, Carson and Brin. They spoiled me with gifts too! I'm such a lucky little girl.

We headed back home later that night. We were all worn out from the fun filled Christmas Day and day after.

This past Saturday we were able to get together with Daddy's side of the family. I once again got spoiled! I got a lot of clothes, a sippy up with some money, more clothes and a big toy for when I'm older that looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!

All in all my first Christmas was great. I'm really looking forward to next Christmas when I can more actively participate.
