First Haircut

Last night Cohen was getting his hair cut before school starts. I was watching very intently and when he was done I quickly said, "I want a hair cut!" Mom didn't think I really needed one but thankfully our friend Wendy humored me and set me up in the chair. At first she was just going to comb it and pretend she was cutting it. She wasn't going to put the cape on me, but I insisted, "that on!" So again, she obliged and put the cape on me. As she was combing my hair she did see a few spots that could be trimmed up so she did.

I sat very, very still and did exactly as she asked. Which, if you know me, that's not exactly how I am all the time. :)

She said she didn't think she'd ever cut a child's hair that they've sat as still as I did. When we were done I wanted "more haircut" which I didn't get but was quite proud of the fact that I "got hair cut".

Before I demanded the cape.

Sitting so still and taking it all VERY serious!
SO PROUD!!

See Birdies!

See birdies! See birdies? Whether I was asking or telling, for awhile this summer I wanted to spend a lot of time looking at the birdies in the nest under our deck. Thankfully Mom, Dad and Grandma humored me and took me to see them. They are gone now but I still ask to see them. I love watching the birds in our yard.

"See Reese"

I kind of admire my cousin, Reese. Well maybe more than kind of. I often talk about Reese and anytime I can I want to "see Reese".

We were lucky enough to have her here for a sleepover with Grandma D. one night this summer. It was our first time having her stay here and I loved playing with her and she loved playing with me and my toys too! I have a feeling I'm going to always look up to her. She's pretty awesome!

Our Summer Vacation

Our family went to Minneapolis at the end of July/Beginning of August. Mom and Dad were a little worried about how I would do in the car that long - it's about a 4 - 4 1/2 hour drive but I surprised them and did AWESOME both on the way up and back.

We stayed at a hotel with a "waa-er park" (Water park). I wasn't too sure about all of the splashing, spraying and shooting water at first but it didn't take too long for me to warm up to it. Once I did I couldn't get enough! I never did really like the water spraying in my face but I did like to sit in the water around the water play set and splash. I also liked to sit on a tube and have Daddy pull me around the wave pool, or to float around with him on the lazy river.

We also went to the Mall of America and we got to see Ninja Turtles. I was pretty excited to "see turtles".
We had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe. Cohen had been there before when he went on his birthday trip so he picked to go there again since I hadn't been there. I liked seeing the monkeys and fish in there.

I also liked playing with the Duplos at the Lego Store. They also had some Bubble Guppies pictures in the Nickelodeon Universe area. I even got to get a Bubble Guppies shirt!

Our family spent a lot of time in the water park. Enough that Mom and Dad thought I would be wiped out and read to sleep. I did the first night since I hadn't napped at all but the second night I was WOUND UP! I was in my pack and play, Cohen was in his bunk bed, Mom and Dad were in bed, lights were out and I was being so silly making them all laugh. I'd say, "Dad. Dad.....Dad! Watch THIS, Dad !" Then they'd hear a thud and I'd say, "I jump!" I did that over and over. Then I was talking about alligators and then I started counting." Finally I went to sleep.

Our last day in Minnesota we went to the Minnesota Children's Museum. We all went last summer too but obviously I was just a baby so I played in the baby room then but that was about it. This year I could do so much more. I loved the water room and playing in the bubbles.

All in all our family had a fun time together doing things we don't get to do all the time. It was great!

In the wave pool! Mom took these from the balcony of our hotel room.

A water slide just my size!

These animals were my favorite! I would ask to "see bears".
Lucky for Dad and Mom we could see them from the balcony of our
hotel room too. ;)

A Trip to the Cabin

Mom, Dad, Cohen, Marlie and I went and stayed at the cabin a few weeks ago. We only stayed one night but it was a lot of fun.

We also went way up high on Mt. Hosmer and looked at the Mississippi River.

Cohen and I liked playing with the "numbers" from Grandma's Soduku game.

Me and Daddy snuggling on the chair.

Cohen and I having pancakes at the cabin.

Cohen and Dad went on a hike in the woods. I didn't get to go this
time but maybe next time.

Instead of a hike Mom and I explored around the cabin.
I had fun finding "weafs" (leafs)

Us up on Mt. Hosmer.

I Love My Brother

It's no secret I look up to my big brother. I like to play with what he plays with, watch what he watched, I know all about Super Heroes, Legos, and music. I can identify Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Batman and more, I can't get my hands on a enough "pieces" of Lego and I can identify certain songs on the radio faster than Dad, Mom or Cohen can. Some of those songs include, All of Me, Summer, Problem, Happy, Dark Horse, Roar, Royals and of course, Let It Go.

I like to think I can keep up to Cohen and all he does. Lucky for me he sort of enjoys playing with me sometimes. He chases me around, tries to teach me things and for the most part is quite patient with me. He really is a great big brother to me and I love him!
